Post Secret.
Rather than just visiual research, I am interested in these projects that deal with people in general. This project that I came across is called "Post Secret." I came across this project about 3 months ago. I found the book about the project, thats how I got to know more about the project. I will post some of the secrets, later on. It is very interesting indeed. What is interesting for me is, that people post these secrets, but they really put their effort in the visualisation. Not all of the people are artist, but the visuals are very outstanding, although they may be collages, it really looks like they put so much effort in the project, and they feel passionate about their secret. I guess it kind of has this effect that when you post, or write down your secrets, burn them or send them away, that they will dissappear somehow. Very interesting.
Meet Hannah,
I met Hannah the other day. She saw my add in Old Street in a club. She was a very insperational girl, her object was a red ball. Her insperation for the red ball is from the book "Naive Super." I will read the book, and find out more things from the character that she liked so much. Hannah mostly carries her object with her when she feels stresfull, and the object lets her know that everything will be alright.

Yesterday's Sandwich by Boris Mikhailov..
I went to Foyles (the bookstore) thinking I could research on my project a bit more, I found this book yesterday's sandwich. I thought the book was fantastic, not only with the photographs, but also how the artist played on them, and made it very individual (possibly to the character that he took the pictures of, and the mood really comes out with the colors.) beautiful!

David Moore Photographs from 'The Last things' book
I like these photographs because although they are very subtle, and everyday objects and places they are kind of quirky in a very unknown way.

the adds.
Have put my adds on the walls of british museum, telephone boots in Holborn, than moved towards east to Old Street, the tube, walls of my favourite places, toilets in Foundry. Phone booth in Cargo. All done. Today I went to Bricklane, and managed to bring my camera and take some photos. All good. Instead of masking tape, I need something more secure. I have seen people taking them right after I left, so its not such a good idea at all to have masking tape. Also got told off from Bishops Gate, but pretended I had no idea it was Bishops Gate. Also want to print out postcards and just handing them out randomly to people whom I think might be suitable. Got some preety good responses, so I am very much looking for the participation.
Next stop, Brixton and Elephant and Castle! so exciting
My next ambition is to film the responses, when people are looking at the add, also thinking about advertising on something that is in constant move. Bus? Train? I dont know.. We will see =)
